Through experiential education, mentoring, and cross-cultural collaboration, TWIGS supports individuals and institutions pursuing justice, truth, and human flourishing. Our focus lies not only in formal education but also in catalyzing community leaders to impact the world through compassionate action and informed insight.
Our Story
TWIGS began as a vision to bring together passionate educators, scholars, and community leaders to address the complex challenges of our time through interdisciplinary learning and global engagement. The seeds of TWIGS were planted by pioneers who believed that education should not be confined to classrooms, but instead should emerge from conversations, relationships, and real-life experience.
One of the key figures in shaping TWIGS is Dr. Thom Wolf, a social entrepreneur, global studies professor, and leadership educator. After serving for 25 years in East Los Angeles, Thom and his wife Linda relocated to Asia, compelled by a commitment to bring transformative learning into international settings. Their work laid the foundation for a new kind of learning space—one rooted in faith, cultural humility, and justice.
TWIGS has since grown into a collaborative network of educators and leaders who work across disciplines and borders. Our story is still being written by every participant who steps into this journey of learning and leadership.
